Travis Kelce is a household name at this point. But according to his brother, Jason, the Chiefs All-Pro went by a different moniker as a kid.

Over the weekend, Jason told the story of his brother’s alter ego on ESPN’s postseason pregame show — which was inspired by an NBA legend.

“He told the entire block his name was Charles because his favorite basketball player was Charles Barkley,” the former Eagles center laughed. A moment that was shared with Travis on Tuesday’s “New Heights” podcast.

“We found out at a block party cause all the other parents were like, ‘There goes Charles,'” Jason recalled. “That’s the kind of kid Travis was. He was always living up to all his sports idols for sure.”

Now Travis is on his way to a seventh straight AFC Championship Game with the chance to compete for a third consecutive Super Bowl if the Chiefs can advance past the Bills.

No team in NFL history has ever three-peated Super Bowls but the Green Bay Packers did win three straight championships from 1965-67 with their first title predating Super Bowl I in 1966.

Kelce is coming off a record-setting 100-yard performance in the divisional round vs. the Texans and is looking forward etching his team’s name in history this playoff run.

“Playoff football is the most meaningful football that you’ll ever play in your life,” Kelce said, via the Chiefs’ Instagram page. “I cherish every single play, man, I really do. When you’re in it, you’re always trying to strive for greatness, being greater than what you are. You know, obviously there’s a historic run and something that we can achieve that no other team has ever achieved, and that fuels you.”
